notes
RoGue: Play The Game
Don't let the title fool you - this is not a game. This is a full-on vocal war. If your ears are craving gritty, brassy vocals, lyrics that carry you from melancholy to exuberant, and arrangements that leave no chord unturned, then this is definitely the album for you.
"Play The Game" is like nothing you've ever heard and yet often feels familiar. With tracks reminiscent of your first Ani DiFranco concert or a dance party in your best friend's basement back in the day, the album reunites you with styles you've missed and gives you unique and new grooves to fall in love with. The band delivers a soundtrack for your generation, but plays across all decades and produces an album that both takes you back and pulls you forward. Shake your groove thing on tracks like "Dance With Me" and "I Wish" and lose your breath on songs like "Jagienka," a rich, earthy, acapella track about living your life to the fullest.
The band comes bearing rare musical gifts. And this gift is for you. If you love rock, soul, jazz, blues, disco, funk or dance, "Play The Game" is a must-have for your collection.

I love this CD! I've been a fan of Rogue's for years and in September I was fortunate to have them sing at my wedding. They helped make our day so special. They sounded beautiful. All of our family and friends loved their singing and they got the bride and groom, along with everyone there, emotional with their sweet and soulful sound. Rogue is wonderful and I can't wait to hear what they put out next.
Bump It In The Car With The Windows Rolled Down
author: Anthone JacksonI've got to say I love the cd......from the first track to the last. I beat the songs out in my car with the windows rolled down, and everybody tries to figure out what song it is. Once they figure it out they are trying to get their own copy. This CD has a variety of music which I love, you don't get stuck with the same types of song over and over. And the HARMONIES!!!!! No one can do it any better, especially on Play The Game, it really shows their range.
Great Mix of Genres
author: Richa SinghalPlay the Game is awesome! There is no sound like this anywhere else. RoGue touches base with multiple genres of music in one CD, where your desire for an array of music can be fulfilled by just this CD. They are so harmonious and fill the body with the pure sound of music. A true and heartfelt CD........
Rogue waters break into uncharted territory.
author: Enrique KalilOn the backs of beautifully harmonized melodies and jazzy urban baselines, Rogue has elevated themselves to yet another peak within their self-established world of ground breaking musical blends and penetrating lyrics. The only thing better than listening to Play The Game is watching the three sisters reveal their deep connection to the music through the kind of meaningful twists and grinds and expressions and emotions that made the great hornblowers of the 1940's so legendary. Lose yourself in the undefinable world of Rogue music and find a sound you didn't know you were looking for but always wanted.

Every song on this cd will touch a part of your life. I especially like the gritty "One of These Days." If you can't relate to that, then you haven't lived yet.

A soulful and much welcomed departure from today's run of the mill so-called music, Play the Game steps it up, taking you on a musical journey of life and love and guiding you through different musical styles by incorporating the sounds of yesterday. Giving a little something to everyone, this is the type of album you put on repeat until you know every word by heart and still can't get enough. Simply Fantastic...

Groovin'
author: Rafael BelkinThese girls are HOT! Not just to look at, but to listen to. They not only harmonize well, but their vocal arrangements are awesome - sometimes layering mulitple melodies. The songwriting is tight, and the band plays deep in the pocket. Highly recommended!
This album features rich harmonies and is full of soul!
author: Ty MurrayThis follow up to the band's debut release, "Touch and Linger," is just as remarkable as the first. Listeners will fall in love with the complex harmonies and rich sound. Strong vocals and interesting arrangements make this selection stand out amongst other bands in this category. "Play The Game" is a definite must have for any collection!
